Voltage Showcased at EVS38
The Voltage project took the stage at EVS38 – the International Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden, with strong representation across partners, platforms, and perspectives. On Monday, numerous project partners participated in the exhibition, including trainers who later joined the Voltage Train-the-Trainer programme hosted at the Battery Center Gothenburg.
Throughout the week, Voltage was featured across multiple platforms, from presentations on the main stage, to thematic seminars and a shared booth. Lena Müller from the German project partner e-mobil BW took part in the scientific session on “Regional Policies” at EVS38 and presented on “Upskilling for the Future: The Role of Qualification in the Regional Transformation of the Automotive Industry in Baden-Württemberg”.
Her presentation highlighted how structural changes, driven by electrification, digitalisation and climate targets, are reshaping job profiles and creating urgent qualification needs, particularly in emerging sectors such as the battery industry. Drawing on regional qualification initiatives like the federally funded project QualiBattBW and Voltage as a European example, she showcased practical approaches to building future-ready skills ecosystems. The talk demonstrated how both regional and international collaboration can strengthen vocational training structures through talent attraction, teacher training and strong partnerships between education and industry.
On Tuesday, the Voltage spotlight continued when Helene Stensson from the Gothenburg Region and Anna-Lena Johansson from Business Region Göteborg shared their joint approach to securing future skills. They presented examples of collaborative models, such as Teknikcollege and the Battery Center, showcasing how regional partnerships can proactively align education with evolving industry needs, particularly in the automotive and battery sectors.
The visibility and engagement at EVS38 affirm Voltage’s growing role as a collaborative platform for vocational excellence across Europe, bridging education and industry for a sustainable future.
