Battery Production Techniques Training Program
As part of the Voltag project, Coşkunöz Education Foundation organized a comprehensive 5-day Battery Production Techniques Training Program for 15 teachers from vocational high schools in Bursa. Training program was conducted both theoretically and practically, through field visits participants also experienced battery production processes.
Voltage Ambassadors Emine Cansu Türkkan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanya Başer led a program covering all fundamental and advanced stages of battery cell production in detail, including Mixing, Coating and Drying, Calendering , Slitting, Stacking, Cell Finishing, Lid Assembly, Cell to Module, Service Box, Module Assembly, System Understanding, and End of Life processes during 4 days.
The training also incorporated XR/VR applications related to Battery and Energy Storage Systems, supporting the education of production processes through digital simulations. Additionally, participants visited BATEG (Battery Technologies Research and Development Platform for Electric Vehicles) to observe cell formation processes and battery testing scenarios on site. On the last day, a field trip to the Ford Otosan Battery Factory was organized, where participants had the opportunity to observe module and pack production, internal connections, and high-voltage equipment in operation.
Special thanks to Prof. Dr. Gökhan Sevilgen from BATEG, Eren Şenkart from Ford Otosan and Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education for their valuable support.
