Collaboration and progress at Voltage meeting in Bursa
From May 6–7, the city of Bursa in Türkiye transformed into a vibrant hub of exchange, innovation, and cross-border cooperation as it hosted the second transnational meeting of the Voltage project — Vocational Training for Optimal Learning and Growth in the European Battery Industry.
The meeting, hosted by our esteemed Turkish partners Coskunöz Egitim Vakfi, CEF and Coskunöz Kalip Makina, CKM, exceeded all expectations. Over two engaging and fruitful days, project partners came together to reflect, align and plan, building momentum in our shared mission to equip Europe’s battery industry with high-quality, future-ready vocational training.

“Our days in Bursa were not only productive, they were deeply inspiring. We are truly grateful to our hosts Coskunöz Egitim Vakfi and Coskunöz Kalip Makina, for their outstanding hospitality and generosity. Their warmth, professionalism and local insights created the perfect setting for meaningful collaboration and progress within the partnership.”
Helene Stensson, Project Manager, Voltage.
The programme offered a rich mix of insights and inspiration — from technical tours and keynote presentations to interactive workshops and cultural experiences.
Highlights:
-
A guided visit to the CEF training centre and a comprehensive tour of CKM’s cutting-edge battery factory, where we experienced first-hand the technologies shaping the future of mobility.
-
Thought-provoking presentations on industry trends, electric vehicle innovation, and battery technologies from Coşkunöz’s perspective.
-
Focused sessions on Work Packages 2, 3 and 4, where participants actively contributed to the ongoing development of project deliverables and indicators.

Importantly, we also celebrated excellence within the consortium. We are delighted to announce that e-mobil BW GmbH has been awarded recognition for outstanding dissemination activities, a well-earned acknowledgement of their commitment to spreading the word about Voltage and its impact.
Above all, we are proud of the collaborative spirit that permeated every aspect of the meeting. The dedication and openness of each partner brought valuable insights and fresh energy to the project. We sincerely thank all participants for their contributions and active engagement.
A special and heartfelt thanks goes to our Turkish hosts, whose warmth, generosity and professionalism left a lasting impression on us all. The cultural tour through Bursa’s historic Old Town and the farewell dinner added a personal and memorable touch to an already meaningful meeting.
As we return to our local contexts, we do so with renewed purpose, strengthened relationships, and shared ownership of the work ahead. The Bursa meeting reminded us once again of the power of European collaboration to drive real change — locally and across borders.
Together, we are shaping a more sustainable, innovative, and connected future for vocational excellence in the battery industry.
