Funding Possibilities for Vocational Education and Training Providers

This report has been developed within Work Package 4 of the project. Work Package 4 focuses on governance and funding structures that support the long-term development of vocational education and training (VET) in alignment with EU priorities and regional smart specialisation strategies.

The purpose of this report is to map relevant national, regional and European funding instruments that can strengthen VET capacities across partner regions and beyond. It identifies key opportunities such as Erasmus+, ERDF, ESF+, and other thematic and innovation-driven funding mechanisms that may support skills development in the emerging European battery industry.

By providing a structured overview of available funding sources, the report aims to support VET providers in accessing financial instruments that enhance quality, innovation and collaboration. It also serves as a strategic tool for future action planning and funding applications, fostering stronger synergies between regional development priorities and the evolving skills needs of the battery sector. The findings will be shared with stakeholders to promote dialogue, knowledge exchange and coordinated action across Europe.
